    è iniziato tutto da li si.

    in origine BMC produceva solo la MINI 850, come se fosse un'utilitaria.

    Poi COOPER che già all'epoca correva in formula 1 ed era un preparatore ha iniziato a metterci mano creando appunto la MINI COOPER , potenziando motore freni e creando quello che poi è diventato un mito.

    Cooper ha vinto anche qualche titolo in f1 ed è stato il primo a portare in pista una monoposto con il motore centrale-posteriore, che poi è diventato lo standard.
