Per le olimpiadi di Londra 2012 la MINI ha avuto la brillante idea di costruire delle MINI Cooper telecomandate, identiche a delle R56 JCW, che servono per recuperare gli attrezzi sportivi come i giavellotti o i pesi che vengono lanciati dagli atleti, una volta lanciati gli attrezzi, saranno raccolti dai giudici e riposti all’interno delle MINI che hanno il tetto con un contenitore integrato.
